Cincinnati Magazine released its annual compilation of the city’s top 300 business leaders—the people who are “most influential, most powerful and most impactful” in shaping the future of our region’s industries and economy.
Among those honored is LPK’s Chief Executive Officer, Sarah Tomes, who has served as the consumer strategy consultancy’s CEO since 2016. Asked what advice she’d offer to someone entering the industry, Tomes encouraged young talent to jump in: “get some practical work experience. Intern. Co-op,” she says. “Raise your hand and say ‘yes’ to any opportunity.”
Tomes got her own start in branding as a finance co-op at LPK. Two decades later, she became CEO, leading the company through times of major change, like the pandemic. How has her leadership approach shifted in the past five years? “It forced us to organize, make decisions and progress on our priorities much faster.”
