The winds of change are sweeping across the Cincinnati Cyclones hockey team. In partnership with LPK, the Cyclones revealed a new brand strategy and identity for the 2014–15 season.

“We’re proud to work with LPK on the evolution of the Cyclones hockey brand,” says Cincinnati Cyclones Director of Marketing Sean Lynn. “The new brand is versatile and really captures that buzz both families and hockey fans can only experience when you visit the Cyclones arena.”


LPK’s work separates the Cyclones from their minor-league competition and realigns the Cyclones’ branding to reflect their status as a proven championship-caliber team with two Kelly Cup wins. The rebranding—which includes new uniforms, brandmark, banners and a website that incorporates their new design system—captures the excitement and energy of a Cyclones hockey game, channeling an experience both families and hockey fans can’t find anywhere else in the region.

“The brand position, ‘more than just a game’ ushers enthusiasts of all ages into the spirited world of the Cincinnati Cyclones,” says LPK Group Director Matt Fearn. “Cyclones is hockey surrounded by an ever-changing array of activities that encourage fans to bring their all to the arena to get involved, be loud and—most importantly—have fun!”
