A heroic alter ego. A superhero version of you. If you had one, what could you overcome?

This spring, a group of LPK designers and writers were fortunate enough to work with some of the smallest yet finest superheroes we’ve ever met. We partnered with Hero Design Company, a project of Artworks, to create six superhero capes for six remarkable kids at the Ronald McDonald House.

The experience inspired our current 19 Garfield Place window display: larger-than-life comic book covers that build on the stories captured in the LPK-designed insignias on Hero Design Company’s beautifully crafted capes. The windows feature replicas of each cape we designed with the children, and each is set against their own personalized comic book cover, written and illustrated by the LPK creative team who worked with the children to design the capes.

Stop by Piatt Park this summer to see the windows and take in the spirit and spunk of the children from the Ronald McDonald House and visit the Hero Design Company and Ronald McDonald House websites to find out how you can support their efforts.
