LPKers Pound the Pavement for a Good Cause in Cincinnati’s Color Run

Despite a brisk October chill, a dozen LPK employees and their friends and family were up before dawn Saturday to pound the pavement in Cincinnati’s first Color Run. The LPKers joined over 10,000 other runners in a celebration of color, humanity and health and to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

The 5K wound along the banks of the Ohio River and around Cincinnati’s sports stadiums, Great American Ball Park and Paul Brown Stadium. At each kilometer marker, participants clothed in their white running duds were pelted with colored powder. After the race, finishers congregated for the Color Festival to toss their multi-colored packets of powder into the air in hued celebration.

“After running this event with my best friends in Louisville this summer, I just knew I had to get a group of my co-workers together to run it here in our own backyard,” said Emily Lang, Color Run Team Captain and LPK’s Social Media Copywriter and Photo Coordinator. “I thought to myself, who better to run with in this crazy, inspirational celebration of color than a team from a design and branding firm? And for such a good cause too.”
