Breakfast for dinner—it’s more than just a go-to meal when your pantry is looking bare, it’s a great excuse for gathering around the table and chowing down on cereal and syrup-drizzled pancakes at six o’ clock in the evening.
When we heard that two of our clients, Kellogg’s and Freestore Foodbank, were teaming up to spoon out breakfast for dinner in Cincinnati while supporting a good cause, we knew we had to be there. That’s exactly what hundreds of Cincinnati breakfast enthusiasts did as well last night at the Wake Up! It’s Breakfast for Dinner event presented by Kellogg’s and Cincinnati Magazine.
Organizations like Kellogg’s and MorningStar Farms along with local favorites like Skirtz & Johnston dished out our favorite morning foods to attendees. The people there enjoyed breakfast-inspired entertainment and games while toasting over bloody marys and coffee. Other food vendors showed attendees how to turn everyday food ingredients like peanut butter and yogurt into complementary additions to our breakfasts. McAlister’s Deli whipped up healthy yogurt parfaits and Peanut Butter & Co. spread flavored peanut butters and fruits on toast.
“It was an electric atmosphere celebrating the wholesomeness of breakfast foods,” said Project Leader Brian Jacob. “Freestore Foodbank and Kellogg’s are both great clients we work with at LPK, so it’s great to see the two partner up on a tasty event for a wonderful organization.”
All the proceeds from the event benefitted our partner, the Freestore Foodbank. If you’d like to donate to the Freestore Foodbank click here.
