Surpassing their $11.2 million goal, with 19 new workplace campaigns and 8,000 new donors, 2012 promises to be a big year for ArtsWave. To celebrate our partner’s successful campaign, LPK invaded Final Friday by hosting a gallery crawl in Cincinnati’s historic Over-the-Rhine district Friday.

LPKers hit the streets, making their way through the glass-fronted galleries and print shops that line Main Street. A visit to Southpaw Prints kicked off the crawl, as attendees admired walls dotted with colorful, hand-printed band posters. Featuring their carefully restored vintage presses, Steam Whistle Letterpress and Design opened their doors to show off their renaissance skills of hand typesetting. OTR’s vibrant streets also offered inspirational exhibits such as the work of artists Thomas Bevan and Jammi York at the Yes Gallery.

The captivating art scene that has been nutured in Cincinnati’s urban core is due in large part to ArtsWave’s continued support of the community. Through the generosity of the region, ArtsWave will remain a cultivator of inspiration and imagination, as residents of Cincinnati share their experiences and celebrate what unites us.
