LPK, the international brand design agency, has named Liz Mathews to the newly created role of Culinary Creative Director. Ms. Mathews relocated to Cincinnati from Los Angeles to collaborate with LPK’s design staff, contributing her decades of experience as a director of photography and photography stylist to LPK’s extensive portfolio of consumer packaged goods and retail clients in a variety of food categories.
As a photography editor for Conde Nast’s Bon Appétit magazine for nearly a decade, Ms. Mathews created the vision for the magazine’s photographic aesthetic—not only for food imagery, but for lifestyle, tabletop, entertaining, interiors and portraiture—as visual support to the editorial. Her role at the magazine also involved selection of photographic talent, model casting, storyboarding, set design and overall coordination of hundreds of photo shoots annually. She has been recognized with numerous accolades and awards from the Society of Publication Designers for her work at Bon Appétit.
Ms. Mathews also held positions as Art Director at TV Online magazine, San Diego Home/Garden Lifestyles magazine and Production Director at LA Weekly. She graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a BFA and studied painting and art history at Parsons Paris School of Art & Design. Ms. Mathews resides in Eastgate.
