How We Got There

A long-term acquisition strategy helped Sealed Air grow, but left the company without a unified position in the market. LPK was challenged to transform Sealed Air into a forward-thinking, end-to-end solutions company from the inside out.

We started by looking beyond their products and discovered the everyday impact they make on people’s lives and all the industries that make the world go round. Working closely with the CEO and key executives across the globe, we engaged in a comprehensive organizational-transformation program that addressed portfolio strategy, positioning, vision, mission and values—then extended it to brand and division expression, investor relations and employer branding.

The outcome was a reimagined Sealed Air, with a powerful story to tell, more-connected employees and better-unified divisions. To ensure everyone was on the same page, we created a cohesive brand rollout across the globe—from collateral material to website relaunch—and rallied stakeholders around a common purpose, helping them embrace and embody the new company culture and vision of creating a better way for life.

I once had a consultant tell me that I should get a 10:1 return on my investment when working with consultants. I don’t believe that’s generally possible, something closer to 5:1 is more realistic. However, this team from LPK is quite clever, and I think they’re proving to be the exception, delivering a 10:1 ROI.
