As a Creative Director at LPK, you are essentially the “top dog” for the creative product on a major global brand team. You’ll have Client Experience partners, and a team of rock stars, but the buck stops with you for product excellence. You must have enough swagger that clients are drawn to you, and enough humility that your team will want to work for you. So, if you haven’t figured it out, you have to have it all—the total package—to be an LPK Creative Director.

Mentor, motivate and empower the team to deliver extraordinary work:
- Partner with Client Experience and Strategy leads to set the long-term vision for your brand(s)
- Maintain financial responsibility and guide your team accordingly
- Ensure vision comes to life in execution
- Lead major initiatives to ensure LPK success
- Understand the business objectives of the brand and how to contribute to those objectives
- Provide context for your team
- Utilise the mechanics, guide your team
- Stay engaged in the work, be available to your team

Serve as a consultant for your clients:
- Understand their business challenges, listen for opportunities
- Proactively think about what their business needs and how we can help
- Understand the politics and help navigate for success
- Adapt process to meet client needs as necessary

Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability:
- Work across all aspects of LPK’s business; keep learning and evolving
- Model the collaborative spirit of LPK - be open and inclusive, let others into your businesses to strengthen the LPK offering

Mentor and grow the careers of your direct reports:
- Balance people management and business/brand management
- Share your experiences, help direct reports solve problems effectively
- Provide direct feedback

Contribute to the company:
- Roam the studio—be a leader and provide insight for other teams
- Keep morale up, go beyond your teams
- Participate in and lead business unit/company initiatives
- Lead and develop new thinking and approaches: processes, category expansion, competencies, partnerships, etc.
- Help communication flow within the broader organisation
- Share work across the organisation, look for opportunities to reapply knowledge

Business Development:
- Lead RFI/RFP responses and develop proposals
- Lead new business pitches
- Author case studies
- Actively mine contacts for new opportunities
- Drive team understanding of the value of our work and establish sound financial goals and strategies to achieve those goals

Pre-Req’s & Fine Print

  • 7-9 years of Design industry experience
  • Credibility and presence that enables consultancy
  • Mentor and direct your teams                    
  • Sound understanding of branding methodology
  • Excellence in presenting and storytelling
  • Inspire your team internally and externally
  • Manage and clearly communicate expectations of Creative
  • Program knowledge: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat and Keynote
