Brand Leader / Account Director with Packaging experience

As an LPK Brand Leader (Account Director), you must demonstrate an exceptional combination of leadership, creative advocacy, attitude, skills and integrity. We want you to be an ambitious thinker who looks for potential to grow the business and break new ground. You will be accountable for product excellence that aligns to the brand's strategic platform and positively impacts business. To succeed, you will need to build strong client relationships, possess in-depth knowledge of your assigned brands/categories and contribute a strategic point-of-view. You will also need to lead internally by guiding team members through challenging issues/dynamics and mentoring/training those around you.

Manage a business with multiple brands or manage a complex business and develop expertise in business building.

Functional Mastery
Lead the team to deliver extraordinary work on equity, on strategy, on budget and on time:
- Partner with other team leads to enable the team to deliver extraordinary work with a strong connection back to the project objectives
- Understand how individual projects fit with the overall brand/business direction
- Guide team leads to deliver client WOW!
- Solidify your partnership with other team leads - you are in it together every step of the way
- Manage team morale - know what to share and when to hold back
- Add value to the process - be there for the team, provide your point of view and constructive critique
- Proactively create and drive brand vision in partnership with senior leadership

Own the client relationship
- Be the primary point of contact for daily initiatives both internally and externally
- Positively manage the client experience
- Understand the business issues the brand is facing and how we, LPK, can help
- Inspire and motivate your clients - inform them about what's new in the category and beyond

Demonstrate strong presentation skills
- Create engaging presentations
- Deliver with excellence
- Learn how to read the room, understand subtleties and body language and adjust the presentation/discussion accordingly

Stretch your skillset
- Move outside of comfort zone into other types of work
- Participate in proposal development

Business Development
- Lead organic growth in partnership with senior leadership
- Listen for client problems and translate for how LPK can help solve
- Keep clients aware of full LPK capabilities, share news
- Follow clients as they rotate off to new assignments/companies

Pre-Req’s & Fine Print

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4-year degree minimum requirement
  • 5+ years experience in maintaining and developing client relationships, preferably in an agency setting (marketing, communications, design, advertising, etc.)
  • Strong sense of responsibility and commitment
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong initiative with ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Track record of leading multiple projects on budget, on time and on strategy
  • Listens well and responds positively to feedback
  • Ability to navigate design and provide feedback to the team in a way they can understand and respond
  • Dynamic presentation style and ability to have a voice
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Enthusiastic and diplomatic with the interpersonal skills to build strong relationships
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Keynote, Macintosh platform, digital/social media
  • Fluent in English
  • French would be an asset

    Senior Designer

    Cincinnati Full-time

    As a Senior Designer at LPK, you will be joining a collaborative team and you will be the design horsepower behind most initiatives. You will likely be assigned to a brand or two, but also asked to participate in initiatives outside of your brand on a fairly regular basis. 
    For your assigned brands: we expect you to have a solid understanding of the brand’s meaning and be able to create design solutions that support the brand’s strategies—and challenge the expected. When you work on brands new to you: we expect you to be the provocateur (no, it’s not French). Your job will be to provoke, innovate and help the team see past the brand guidelines. 
    As a Senior Designer, you’ll participate in all phases of a project—from concepting to execution oversight. We expect you to be proficient at design strategy, and on the learning curve for brand and innovation strategy. Initially, your client contact and project management will be limited. However, as you progress, you may own small projects and have more client face-time.

  • Well-rounded portfolio showcasing excellent understanding of packaging design and brand design skills
  • Strong visualization skills
